Fellows

Dr Ngoc Hoang Ha
Breast Fellow
Dr Ngoc Hoang Ha is a trained General Surgeon, recently becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). After completing her general surgical training in South Australia, she continued advancing her knowledge and surgical skill with the BreastSurgANZ Post Fellowship Training Program. Now she has joined the team at Breast and Surgical Oncology to finalise her subspecialty training in Breast & Reconstructive Surgery and Melanoma Surgery.
Alongside clinical practice, Hoang has a strong academic interest in breast cancer research. She is currently completing a Master of Philosophy (Surgery) with Adelaide University, investigating the role of the breast cancer stroma and its influence on tumour behaviour. This translational research aims to bridge laboratory discoveries with clinical applications, contributing to improved understanding and treatment of breast cancer.
She is also passionate about surgical education, contributing to both hospital-based teaching programs and educational courses through RACS. In addition, Hoang has had a longstanding interest in trainee wellbeing and advocacy, having served on the RACS Trainees’ Association Committee for four years. Through these roles, she has worked to support surgical trainees and promote initiatives that enhance both surgical training and patient care.
