Fellowship in Surgical Oncology
Each year, Breast and Surgical Oncology at The Poche Centre offers a 12-month Fellowship in Surgical Oncology. This provides advanced training in breast cancer and melanoma for surgeons. It includes experience in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and Breast Reconstruction and it is accredited by Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ).
The position involves 12 months of specialist surgical training and research in Breast Cancer and Melanoma and is open to Australian surgeons (holding the FRACS). The Fellowship involves training in the clinics at The Poche Centre and in the operating theatres at The Mater, North Shore Private, Royal North Shore and Hornsby Hospitals.
The Fellowship position is generously funded by The Friends of the Mater Foundation, North Sydney.
